She has called it a photograph, a photograph of the 'being' of her baby: his special smell, his warm head, the sounds he makes when joyous...Through the skilful crafting of words, Anne French has captured the essence of her baby. This is phenomenology. Phenomenology seeks to translate the felt understanding of an experience into words.
